Dr. Mohammed k. Ali

(MD, MSc, MBA)

Dr. Mohammed k. Ali is Vice Chair in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at Emory University and Professor of Global Health, Epidemiology, and Primary Care.

He is a Rhodes Scholar, practicing clinician, and has cultivated a portfolio of epidemiology, health services, and implementation science research as they relate to cardiometabolic disease prevention and management through practice, programs, and policy innovations. He co-directs a NIH-funded Center for Diabetes Translation Research in Georgia, leads several multi-national studies and training programs, and serves as a scientific advisor for the Division of Diabetes at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has led or contributed to reports from the World Health Organization, World Bank, and National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
